Eight Tactics To Increase Conversions For Your Business Online

We are so excited to welcome two new talented people to FACTEUR PR, Erika & Grace!

While we would love to tell you PR is the silver bullet for sales, it's not – it's only one part of the process. PR helps expand your market base by earning trust from your audience and ultimately increasing your brand's visibility. If your target audience doesn't know you even exist, how are they going to know to buy from you?

You can grow your brand's awareness, generate interest, and see increased traffic to your website and storefront with the help of PR – but if you're not seeing the conversions you were hoping for over time, it might be time to evaluate your marketing & sales tactics.

Here are eight tactics to implement to help increase conversions for your business online:

  1. Enhance your website communications and overall usability

You have about three seconds to make an impression after someone visits your website. Make sure your website (or storefront) is easy to navigate, loads quickly, has high quality photography, and contains clear calls to action that really speak to your audience.

  2. Define + focus on the customer journey

Develop a customer journey map that outlines each step in the customer’s buying process. Make sure the customer experience is consistent, and make improvements where needed.

  3. Offer incentives

Consider discounts, free shipping, or loyalty rewards to encourage customers to complete their purchase (and come back!).

  4. Use personalized marketing

Target customers with personalized emails, offers, and ads based on their interests, history with your brand, past purchases, or where they are in that customer journey.

  5. Optimize for mobile

Make sure your site is mobile-friendly and optimize (or even build and design) all content for mobile devices.

  6. Use retargeting

Use retargeting to reach customers who have abandoned their shopping carts or visited your site without making a purchase.

  7. Utilize reviews and ratings

Encourage customers to leave reviews and ratings to increase trust in your business.

  8. Provide helpful customer service

Make sure your customer service is responsive and helpful. Make it easy for customers to contact you with any questions or concerns.
